A 4 hour tailored fjord kayak tour for family, friends and private groups!
An exciting and fun way to explore sea kayaking in the fjords. Tafjorden, is a part of Geirangerfjorden World Heritage Area, and is known for less traffic, large population porpoises and untouched nature. We will padle towards the waterfall "Slufsa", which create enormous powers from its tall drop of the vertical 1000 meter tall mountain. Kayaking close to Slufsa is an adventure on its own. With our local guides you will also get a great insight into the Tafjord nature disaster while overlooking the avalanche scar in the mountain while exploring a pure and hidden fjord.
Meet the guide at 10:00 a.m.at our base in Tafjord, Sjoavegen 21.
Age limit for the tour is 5 years when accompanied with a guardian. Youth between 13-18 can join the tour with a written permission from a guardian. We will use stable double kayaks on the tour, and it`s not a prerequired to have any knowledge or experience with kayaking before. The guide will go through basic safety rutines at the start of the tour. The difficulty will be adjusted to the groups experience and physical shape. Contact us if you have questions regarding difficulty.
If your looking into a longer kayak day tour, take a look at our tour "Tafjorden Explorer".
We also have Stand-Up Padle board which can be substituted with kayaks on request.
The guided tour starts and end at our office in Tafjord. Here you will have the opportunity to change clothing, store personal belongings safe, and take a shower if needed after the tour.
We can be helpful with transportation from/to Valldal prior/after the tour.
The guide will always put the group's safety as a priority. This means that weather, wind, and other conditions will always provide guidance as to whether the planned route can be completed or not. Should the weather be too bad, we as the organizer will cancel, and you will be offered to move the trip or a full refund.
